ANN HELEN HAAGENSEN Painter - Art Director - Creator

Ann Helen Haagensen is educated creator and Art Director, from schools such as Den Danske Reklameskole (Copenhagen), Westerdals School of Communication (Oslo) and Merkantilt Institutt (Oslo). She started to paint in 1997 and is now a full time artist with her own atelier in Aalesund.

Over the years she has developed her own style, and created her own techniques and different working methods. She is fully self-taught, and receives a lot of inspiration from her life experience, nature, music, dreams and other artists.

Her expression is mainly abstract, with the use of acrylic/mixed media and some mixed art/printed media on canvas. In her paintings, she likes to ad different types of material, such as sand, gold leaf, trowel, pearls and sparkling objects. She has a mild crush on the darker color of blue, which you will observe from several of her paintings. She likes to vary her expression, from the colorful and lively, to the opposite that is darker and more reflective.

“When I can vary my expression, I never get bored and I can work with different paintings simultaneous. If I lack inspiration and ideas on a painting in progress, it is convenient to have other paintings, often with different expressions, to continue with. My paintings often reflects my mood. Some days are full of energy and colors, other days can be more recumbent and thoughtful. The different seasons of the year, and the capricious weather in Aalesund, also affects my paintings,” she says.

Ann Helen have had eight sales exhibitions in Aalesund.

If customers have a specific wish of format, size, color selection or other, she takes special orders.

She ships worldwide.
